Concerts On The Water

A FLOATING CONCERT? ABSOLUTELY!

BOOK NOW (CLICK HERE).

This will be the highlight of your summer! Picture floating out on the water at Quail Lake with other paddlers and boaters in a huge wakeless zone, all while the band plays from a pontoon boat in “Concert Cove”.  You can bring a chair or blanket with you to the cove shoreline, or just float on the lake and enjoy the music from the water.

It’s only $15 for your wristband and a cold, non-alcoholic beverage. You can bring your own gear or rent from us at DIG Paddlesports. If you’re renting gear to attend the show, rentals are discounted with concert ticket purchase at just $10/person for Concerts on the Water. You can generally use the gear for three hours for less than half the regular price. If you are a Dig Paddle Club Member, you get a discount on the concert and your gear rental is free.

Family-friendly; kids and dogs are welcome. Alcohol consumption laws apply. Recreational marijuana use is not legal in Utah.

Who is performing?

August 21, 6:00pm - 8:00pm: Dylan Gavin

August 28, 6:00pm - 8:00pm: BLACK SABBATICAL

• One repeat offender and a boatload of fresh miscreants to entertain us for hours...

Yes, at this one, come and grab a cold beverage from the coolers at check-in!

Wristbands are required. Don't whine about it. If you are not wearing a wristband, you will be invited to purchase one... or paddle somewhere else and come to the next concert.

Concert wraps around 8:00-8:30 pm. Be on the water after sunset with a white light that can be deployed in time to avoid a collision. Be off the water and out of the park by 10:00pm, or pay for a "night fishing" pass to paddle after 10:00pm.

Carpool with your pals, if you can. Check in for wristbands any time on Saturday, and pick up your rental gear as early as 5pm. Concert is scheduled in the cove from 6-8pm. Some attendees have used the DMV parking lot on the south side of State Street, just two miles from the park gate. There may also be parking available near the county fairgrounds. There is also nearby overflow parking at the DNR building parking lot at the south end of the lake, right by the concrete dam. Park your cars, and have your buddy pick you up for that last mile or so.

In-park parking: Also, after 9pm the gates beyond our shop are closed and locked. You can get out of the park from either side, and the bathrooms are always accessible. Just don't expect to be able to drive your car from the DIG side of the gate to the boat ramp after 9. If that's important to you, just park on the north side of the gates in the single-stall parking spots.

If you need to paddle back to shore before 9pm to move your car, do it. Cars are not permitted on the beach at Quail Creek, with rare exception, per Water Conservancy District regulations. Again, plan accordingly.

VISITING FROM OUT OF THE AREA? HERE ARE SOME GREAT OPTIONS FOR PLACES TO STAY, and there's a deal just up the road from the lake for the concerts:

Holiday Inn Express & Suites, John Olsen - 435-616-1574. Enjoy the reduced rate of $119 for a 1-King or 2-Queen room (normally $154), includes breakfast.
This hotel is just a few miles from our lake, very conveniently located. It's right off I-15, next to Zion Harley-Davidson. John volunteers with Washington City Rotary and helps out at our Annual Polar Plunge , usually held on Jan 1.

Best Western Plus Settler's Point
Jordan Perry is the GM. Let him know you're coming to our concert. They make a great breakfast and are just one exit away from us off of I-15 in Washington, UT. 435-986-7788

Pat McEwen & Riverhouse Band: July 12, 2024, June 28, 2025 - Pat's band was the first to play at Quail and kick this whole thing off. Masterful guitar, bass, and drums. A great window to classic rock and blues!

Runaway Fire:  August 31 - "These guys are like a combination of... U2, The Beatles, and The Cult. Melodic, wistful, punchy, clear lyrical prose and poetry mixed with a little bit of gunpowder. This is one of those concerts you'll look back on and say, 'I was THERE!' " - Bill, Dig Paddlesports
Post-concert review: WOW. Unexpectedly powerful. I don't think we heard a single cover, just a lot of great original material.

The Ed Tracy Band: July 20. Ed belts it out. Gary shreds. Misty on keys. Shane, Steve... CRUSHED.

• The Paddle Out Band: July 27 Did a fine job - such a great vibe. Another evening preceded with strong breezes, but calmed down just in time for the show!
