Floating Concerts On The Water
A FLOATING CONCERT? ABSOLUTELY!
This will be the highlight of your summer! Picture floating out on the water at Quail Lake with other paddlers, vibing while the band plays from a boat in “Concert Cove”. You can bring a chair or blanket with you to the cove shoreline, or just float on the lake and enjoy the show from the water.
It’s only $15 for your wristband and a cold non-alcoholic beverage. You can bring your own gear or rent from us at DIG Paddlesports. If you’re renting gear to attend the show, rentals are discounted with concert ticket purchase at just $15/person for Concerts on the Water. You can generally use the gear for three hours for less than half the regular price. If you are a Dig Paddle Club Member, you get a discount on the concert and your gear rental is free.
Kids and dogs are welcome. Alcohol consumption laws apply. Recreational marijuana use is not legal in Utah.
Who is performing?
Carpool with your pals, if you can. Check in for wristbands any time on Saturday, and pick up your rental gear as early as 5pm. Concert is scheduled in the cove from 6-8pm.
A few hacks: Arrive early. Bring a headlamp, just in case you find yourself drawn into the landscape after sunset. After sunset, paddlers in Utah need a white light that can be deployed in time to avoid collision. Want to paddle into the moonbeams? Do it!
Also, after 9pm the gates beyond our shop are closed and locked. You can get out from either side, and the bathrooms are always accessible. Just don't expect to be able to drive your car from the DIG side of the gate to the boat ramp after 9. If that's important to you, just park on the north side of the gates.
Come early and grab some excellent food from the Dig In Grille. Grab a table on the beach and enjoy an afternoon meal by the water.
VISITING FROM OUT OF THE AREA? HERE ARE SOME GREAT OPTIONS FOR PLACES TO STAY, and there's a deal just up the road from the lake for the concerts:
Holiday Inn Express & Suites, John Olsen - 435-616-1574. Enjoy the reduced rate of $119 for a 1-King or 2-Queen room (normally $154), includes breakfast.
This hotel is just a few miles from our lake, very conveniently located. It's right off I-15, next to Zion Harley-Davidson. John volunteers with Washington City Rotary and helps out at our Annual Polar Plunge on Jan 1.

Dig Paddlesports is located inside Quail Creek State Park, just yards from the water. Check in at our office to get your wristband, then paddle out to the north end of the lake to "Concert Cove" in the "NO WAKE" zone to enjoy the show, or set up on the beach by our shop if it's a Concert on the Beach night.

*Your experience will be much more enjoyable if you purchase tickets, reserve your gear and fill out your waivers in advance! You will have to fill out waivers to rent gear. We cannot guarantee equipment if you don’t book in advance!!!!
A few rules to keep everyone safe and enjoy the show. PFD's must be worn or on your kayak/SUP. For kids 12 and under, they must be worn. This is a Utah Boating Law and a state park policy. Citations may be issued if not compliant.. Please remember this is a family event. State alcohol/drug laws and usage regulations apply. Event staff will be checking for wrist bands once out on the water or on the concert-designated shoreline. Thank you for not sneaking in. We support the arts by actually supporting the artists. We are stoked to have you join us!

Tell me about this "floating stage" boat?
Damon Atkinson of Dream Season Guide Service generously provides the pontoon boat for the band. He is an expert fishing guide and outdoorsman whose guided tours almost always end in victory - well, for those fishing, not so much for the fish! Damon is also a USAF Veteran and current board member for the Hurricane Valley Chamber of Commerce. We don't mind sharing that as an insurance agent with EasyShop Insurance, he has served Dig Paddlesports and team well for both commercial and household protection! He's very creative and knowledgable. Contact him at 435 773 0571 or take a look at their website.
