Stand up paddle, kayak, or canoe for a cause!

A fundraiser and paddle-party for all skill levels, this is a family-friendly atmosphere at the lake. Paddle to card stations around the lake, then take your 5-card hand to win prizes back at the beach!

There is also a Silent Auction back on the beach.

Is it a race?

Kind of; get to the stations first and get your pick of cards!

How will I know where the stations are?

Each station will have a 24" yellow, pyramid-shaped buoy floating nearby. A map will be provided for you to identify your best route (up to you to plot your course), and a "dealer" will be present to help you get your cards.

How can I get extra cards?

There is one bonus card station that will be listed on the map and easy to identify.

All proceeds benefit a local family battling cancer, the Kinnicks.

Alistair Kinnick is a young man whose family has been working hard, as many of us have or will, to get their son critical treatment. Here is some of their story:

"Our youngest child, Alastair Tavis Kinnick at age 14 was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in his right femur. An avid soccer player, 4.0 student, cadet of the Air Force JROTC and CrossFit athlete, never had any pain in his leg until during a soccer game in early October when he was cleated and run into.

Thinking it was a sports injury and or growing pains we didn’t give it a second thought. Five weeks later with still worsening pain we took him in to see if he’d torn something. Never in a million years expecting the doctor to call us back after the X-ray saying he had a tumor on his bone. After an emergency MRI, a week later we’re at Primary Children’s hospital preparing to start cancer treatment and major leg surgery.

The year of 2020 took its toll on everyone, including us. We started a new business in 2019 only to have COVID-19 shut us down over and over again. Now just starting another new job and trying to recover from the year’s unruly path, we’ve yet to find our footing and thus ask for help and support in any way possible.

We are truly thankful and grateful for your assistance and fully expect Alastair to recover and excel beyond this major obstacle. He, as well as all of us, will be stronger and better people by the end of this."

Thank you again,

~ The Kinnick Clan
(note added 4/7/22: Alistair passed on this morning.  More than ever, we send the Kinnick family all our love and support and will honor this warrior young man at our Poker Paddle)
